WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House on Monday endorsed a deficit reduction plan put forward by Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid, saying it would remove the cloud of a possible default from the U.S. economy through 2012.

"Senator Reid's plan is a reasonable approach that should receive the support of both parties, and we hope the House Republicans will agree to this plan," White House press secretary Jay Carney said in a statement. "The ball is in their court."

So Reid is the guy negotiating for the White House, and the White house backs his plan. No kidding! Are these guys so out of things to say that they now have to fall back on such foolishness. Reuters – why do you even post this as news? No wonder the public is fed-up with politicians.

Obama is only concerned about winning reelection, not the debt crisis. That is why he wants a plan to go through 2012, so he doesn’t have to deal with it during a campaign.
