American National Declares Quarterly Dividend

GALVESTON, Texas, July 28, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- American National Insurance
Company's (Nasdaq:ANAT) board of directors declared a quarterly dividend of 77
cents per share on its common stock, CUSIP #028591-105, payable September 16,
2011 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on September 2, 2011.
American National Insurance Company has paid dividends to stockholders for over
100 consecutive years.
