BOSTON (Reuters) - The Federal Bureau of Investigation on Saturday offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to the location of a missing 11-year-old New Hampshire girl last seen nearly a week ago, and the arrest of anyone responsible for her disappearance.

Authorities have been searching for Celina Cass since she went missing on July 25 from her Stewartstown, New Hampshire home, not far from the Canadian border.

The 5'5" tall Cass who has long brown hair and hazel eyes was wearing a pink shirt, pink pullover and blue shorts before she disappeared, authorities said. She was last seen at home around 9 p.m. local time on Monday.

The ongoing search for the young girl also prompted one private citizen to offer a $5,000 reward for any information leading to her whereabouts, New Hampshire senior assistant attorney general Jane Young said at a press conference.

The FBI joined local and state authorities conducting the investigation earlier in the week.

Authorities said an aggressive search for Cass continues and the reward offer does not indicate a change in the nature of the investigation. They continue to treat this as a missing person case.

Let’s see. She is somewhere in America,do Iget the 25K. Besides, 25k isn’t much money. At least make the reward a decent amount of money.

Behold the power of the Internet or not? It’s not just this site but tons of others that will post a story of a missing child and neglect to post a picture. I had to post “Celina Cass” in Google images to even see a picture. Trust me that’s not a very complicated thing but after years of being in the tech support business, you’d be surprised on how little people know, even smart people such as lawyers and doctors. While ignorance may be bliss, knowledge is power. I hope they find her soon.

Why doesn’t the FBI offer a reward for every missing child, not just a select few?
