All Senate Republicans oppose Democratic debt bill

WASHINGTON, July 30 | Sat Jul 30, 2011 1:29pm EDT

WASHINGTON, July 30 (Reuters) - All 43 Republicans in the U.S. Senate have signed a letter, released on Saturday, saying they will not vote for a Democratic plan to raise the debt limit in a sign that the measure does not have the support it needs to advance in Congress.

Democrats need at least seven Republican votes to clear a procedural vote in the 100-seat chamber. That vote is scheduled for 1 a.m. EDT (0500 GMT) on Sunday.

Oh well who cares. I’m tired of this BS. Go with the 14th amendment route and call it a day. Congress is just stuck. We have got to get these tea party freak out of there.

The Republican leadership is a joke!!

First the Treasury asks Congress to raise the debt limit. Then the Republican House says they won’t without cuts to government spending. So the Democrats begin negotiations including cuts to their sacredly held social programs and ask for some quid pro quo. It was a 3-1 ratio of cuts versus revenue increases. A deal that Republicans should have been drooling over!

What happened?

“One of the biggest hurdles that emerged was the Obama administration’s desire to ensure that Bush-era tax cuts for wealthy Americans would expire at the end of 2012, while making permanent tax cuts for the middle class, said a person familiar with the talks.”

Taxes for the rich protected by the Republican Party!!! That’s all they care about!!

Look, this is a Democracy; a country made of more than Tea Party freaks and morons. Republicans want to cut money to students and grandmas. Republicans want Americans to be dumb and die sooner.

Republicans don’t actually stand for anything, and funny thing is, no one asks them to. I am so tired of Republicanism. I can’t wait to vote for Democrats for the next decade at least!

Oh well Republicans! The fall of the Republican Party is the doing of Republican.

You asked for this. You voted in these idiots who don’t know a thing about government except that “it’s bad”. You liked it when the Supreme Court told corporations that they could have more power than the voter with infinite donations for Republican puppets who care only about deregulating and lowering taxes. You voted for the tea party freaks who promised you that government is the enemy. You voted for people who don’t want the job, but would rather have it over someone who actually cares!!

It’s your fault America. Land of the stupid and home of the blames. You let the angriest and out of touch Republicans of our country take hold of the House of Representatives in a failed pusillanimous attempt to take the entire Congress.

You want someone to blame? Look at you pathetic self in the mirror. Look at yourself while you ponder the rights you took away from gay people just to garner some votes out of the bigots. Peer into your selfish eyes while you consider all the religious people who think life begins at conception but ends at birth and their anger that was exploited simply to get people who hate government in government.

Republicans leaders aren’t to blame; they told you strait to your face that they had sold their souls to the highest bidder.

Republicans voters are to blame, every last one of you, from the fake “fiscal conservatives” all the way down to the angry people hating “social conservatives”. You are all playing the fool and one day you will all be forgotten.

You have no understanding of what you are saying. Your ideologies are tired and mechanical. So, put a sock in it. The Dems plan has no real spending cuts whatsoever.
The capital markets are about to vote the U.S. out of existence and you are still whining about Dems vs Repubs. It is now largely irrelevant. The Dems seem to be living a denial and want to increase the debt load by yet another $2.7 T. How in the world does that help? You excoriate the Repubs for trying to keep the country from going bankrupt and also devaluing the currency even more than has already been done.
I no longer care about the ridiculous ideological positioning by either side…..I care now only about math and how the math does not work under any taxation scenario. The U.S. needs to shut down at least 180 depts and agencies in addition to the prescribed cuts in spending.
Here are their choices:
1- cut spending and get the debt load down.
2- see choice #1
