Reid says hopes to hold Senate debt vote tonight

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid said on Sunday he hopes to hold a Senate vote tonight on an emerging deal to raise the U.S. debt ceiling.

Asked if the Senate would vote tonight on the plan, Reid said "we hope to" as he left a meeting with other congressional Democratic leaders.
