Chartwells-Thompson Hospitality Donates $30,000 in School Supplies for Chicago Children

  CHICAGO, IL, Aug 30 (MARKET WIRE) -- 
Chartwells-Thompson Hospitality, the major school meals provider for
Chicago Public Schools (CPS), has donated 2,700 school supplies kits,
valued at more than $30,000, to Chicago children. This year's donation
marks the 11th year that Chartwells-Thompson has supported CPS'
back-to-school efforts. 

    Bob Bloomer, Regional Vice President for Chartwells-Thompson Hospitality,
joined State Senator Heather Steans, State Representative Kelly Cassidy
and Alderman Harry Osterman at the Care for Real office on August 23rd to
collect school supplies for Chicago children. The school supplies kits
were distributed to children in the Edgewater community on Thursday,
August 25th at the Care for Real location at 5341 N. Sheridan and at the
48th Ward Service Office, 5533 North Broadway.

    "We know that back to school is a busy and exciting time for Chicago
families and how important it is for students to be equipped with school
supplies," said Bloomer, "We are pleased to support Care for Real in
their efforts to ensure that students in this community can return to
school, ready to learn, with new school supplies."
