JAKARTA, Sept 5 (Reuters) - Indonesia's core inflation may stay above 5 percent in September because of higher gold prices, after surging costs for the metal lifted annual core inflation to 5.15 percent in August, the statistics bureau said on Monday.

"It seems that core inflation may be above 5 percent -- it's because of gold," said Rusman Heriawan, the chief of the statistics bureau.
