Indonesia's cement sales in Aug fall 0.3 pct y/y

JAKARTA, Sept 14 (Reuters) - Indonesia's cement sales, an indicator of economic growth in Southeast Asia's biggest economy, fell 0.3 percent in August from a year ago due to the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr festive season, data from the Indonesian Cement Association (ASI) showed on Wednesday.

Cement sales volumes in August slipped to 3,603,234 tonnes from 3,615,181 tonnes last year, Urip Trimuryono, chairman of the association, told Reuters.
