HELSINKI (Reuters) - Nokia, the world's largest phone maker by volume, said on Friday it was increasingly confident its first Windows Phone would reach consumers this year.

"As we stated previously, we have increased confidence we will ship our first Windows Phone product this year," said Nokia spokesman Doug Dawson.

Nokia is in the midst of changing its smartphone software platform to Microsoft's Windows Phone from its own Symbian.

Is Nokia spokesman Doug Dawson aware of this report on TheStreetTV by Scott Moritz, that says Nokia SeaRay phone based on the Windows Mango 7.5 version platform will be delayed till next year?

“Investors looking for a quick turnaround at Nokia might not see it” says this editor on the staff of TheStreet.com: a very well known website, that is usually well informed.
