* MIRALI - A suspected U.S. drone fired two missiles at a house in the Mirali area of Pakistan's North Waziristan tribal region, killing at least three militants, local intelligence officials said. The area is not associated with the Haqqani network, the most brutal faction of the Afghan insurgency, and which has emerged as a major source of tension between the United States and Pakistan.
QUETTA - Gunmen on motorbikes opened fire on a passenger vehicle near the city of Quetta in southwestern Baluchistan province, killing two people and wounding three, police said.
KHYBER - An overnight roadside blast killed four suspected militants riding a vehicle in the northwestern Khyber region on the Afghan border, security officials said.
Pakistani military has been active against militants in the region, where rival insurgent groups also attack each other.
QUETTA - Suspected militants detonated a remote-controlled bomb in Baluchistan as a paramilitary convoy passed by, damaging a vehicle and wounding two troops, police said.
Both separatist nationalists and Taliban militants have been blamed for such attacks in the province which shares borders with Afghanistan and Iran.
