U.S. Senate to delay disaster bill until Monday

WASHINGTON, Sept 23 | Fri Sep 23, 2011 12:58pm EDT

WASHINGTON, Sept 23 (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate agreed to delay further action on a stopgap spending bill until Monday as Democrats and Republicans remained at odds over the measure, which would refill depleted disaster funds and ensure the government does not shut down in October.

"Everyone once in a while needs a little cooling off," Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid said. "We'll come here Monday and more reasonable heads will prevail."

Thanks a lot, Nevada, for re-electing this d-bag. No thanks to him, disaster relief takes a backseat to fundraising and vacation time.

No mention of the fact that Reid and his democrat buddies have a fundraiser to attend this weekend at an island retreat in SC?

This has nothing to do with Reid “cooling off”. It has everything to do with him rubbing elbows with big donors.

Every time Harry Reid starts to speak, I cringe. What a low-life he is. He comes out with that snarky voice of his and acts like the typical Liberal, I know how to live your life better than you.
I was so hoping he would not get re-elected, but I guess Nevada is full of people without a brain.
