CHATTANOOGA, TN, Oct 25 (MARKET WIRE) --
Clarity, a division of Plantronics (NYSE: PLT) that creates smart
communication solutions for seniors, today introduced its new D703(TM)
amplified cordless telephone designed specifically for people with
hearing loss, low vision and mobility challenges.

Available exclusively at RadioShack(R), the new Clarity D703(TM) cordless
big button phone amplifies incoming sound up to 35dB, or twelve times
louder than standard home phones, through the patented Clarity Power(TM)
technology while removing unwanted and distracting noises. The Clarity
D703(TM) has been recognized by the Arthritis Foundation, receiving its
Ease-of-Use commendation for the phone's arthritis-friendly design.

"Our new cordless amplified phone is not only a tremendous solution for
people with mild-to-moderate hearing loss, but the D703 is also designed
for people who have vision, mobility and dexterity needs," said Carsten
Trads, president of Clarity. "We have been designing products for seniors
for 40 years and understand the unique challenges people encounter as
they age. The D703 provides several options to meet these core needs of
our customers and we're excited RadioShack(R) is making it available
across the US."

The Clarity D703(TM) is a simple and easy-to-use cordless phone with
minimal features designed for seniors with mild-to-moderate hearing loss.
With DECT 6.0 technology, the phone provides interference-free
communication, includes four adjustable tone settings to give users a
customized listening experience and is hearing aid compatible. The
handset has a built-in speakerphone that is loud and clear and a large,
easy-to-read Caller ID display.

The keypad buttons are the largest of any cordless phone and are made of
a soft-touch material, making for painless dialing for those with
arthritis or dexterity issues. The buttons are also high-contrast and
backlit and flash in unison with the Caller ID display as a visual ringer
for those with low vision.

The D703(TM) support up to five additional handsets, which can be located
anywhere in the home where there is a power outlet. The additional
handsets are helpful for seniors who struggle with mobility challenges
and cannot quickly move to another room when the phone rings.
