Cintas Corporation Wins Local African American Chamber of Commerce "Corporation of the Year" Award

Cintas recognized for commitment to supplier diversity

CINCINNATI- October 26, 2011 - Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS) today announced it has been named the 2011 Corporation of the Year by the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky African American Chamber of Commerce (AAC). The award was presented during the 11th Annual Business to Business Exchange and Expo, a regional event joining minority-owned businesses with diversity experts and leaders in business development to reward entrepreneurial spirit and offer resources to growing businesses.

"The Corporation of the Year award honors businesses that work toward greater economic inclusion," said Sean Rugless, President and CEO, AAC. "Cintas' continuing focus on the advancement of diverse suppliers is a clear demonstration of their support for development of minority and women-owned businesses."

Cintas has established a corporate-wide supplier diversity initiative that works to support the growth and development of minority and women-owned businesses in the supply chain while also introducing several programs to provide ongoing support to its minority-owned suppliers. A notable success has been participation in the AAC sponsored "Breakfast with the COO" Program which offers local minority business leaders the opportunity to connect with Cintas senior management, share business capabilities and challenges and identify leadership best practices. Additionally, Cintas hosts development classes with topics such as effective negotiation and meticulous hiring in order to enhance the long-term sustainability of local minority-owned businesses.

"Cintas continuously strives to support supplier diversity and we are thrilled that the Chamber has recognized our commitment with this esteemed award," said Pamela Coleman, Senior Director of Supplier Diversity and Sustainability, Cintas. "Increasing the number of diverse vendors in the supply chain adds increased value while improving our ability to meet and exceed customer expectations."
