WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama's chief economist on Friday said that recent signs of job growth point to an improving economy, following a report that showed much stronger-than-expected job creation during December.

"It all suggests that the economy has been moving in the right direction," Alan Krueger, the chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, told network MSNBC.

The reality is the jobs created during November and December are the typical seasonal Holiday jobs to meet consumer demand. As the Holiday Season unwinds, employers return to normal staffing levels, and the job market once again will slowly decline back to their dismal levels.

The White House of course, with the Media’s assistance, will try to spin these seasonal jobs into some sort of political and economic victory, but despite all their accolades, Obama in not the Holy one responsible for Christmas.
