MEDHOST today announced that it tied for the No. 1 ranking in the Emergency Department (ED) segment of the 2011 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Services report. In addition, MEDHOST scored higher than any other ED solution in terms of product functionality, with more than 80 percent of surveyed MEDHOST customers saying that the MEDHOST Emergency Department Information System (EDIS) functionality meets their needs. Functionality and features most often praised by MEDHOST customers include, touch screen navigation, complete clinical charting and clinician order entry, real-time patient tracking, robust charge capture, customization features, and comprehensive reporting capabilities.
The ease of use of MEDHOST’s EDIS and the company’s comprehensive customer support also contributed to the top ranking, which is based on performance feedback that KLAS collects from healthcare executives, managers and clinicians.
