LOS ANGELES, CA, Jan 17 (MARKET WIRE) --
GI Jams (R) has announced it is partnering with Rhino Custom Products, a
division of Warner Music Group, on GI Jams Records' January 17th 2012
release of the GI Jams Records Compilation Album - Vol. 1, The Original
Music Of Our U.S. Military Artists. The digipak album features 14 tracks
by eight of the most popular artists and bands on the GI Jams web site
(www.gijams.com). Each artist and band consists of active and veteran
members of the U.S. military.
The album also includes two "Battlefield Music Videos" filmed in Iraq --
one by the Joe Speed Band, Army National Guard Sergeants, performing
their song "Cowboy Soldiers"; and a second by Army Chief Warrant Officer
and Blackhawk helicopter pilot Adrian Manuel singing his song, "Freedom,"
while flying in his helicopter -- a music video first.
Rhino Custom Products is manufacturing the album and will be offering it
to its retail client base. It will also be available in the future at
various retail locations to be announced. All profits from album sales go
to the featured musical artists.
GI Jams (R), the Nevada based multi-media company dedicated to showcasing
and promoting the original music and performances of active and veteran
U.S. military troops, has members who've joined its web site and uploaded
their music from military bases and war zones world-wide, including Iraq
and Afghanistan.
Fans and friends can also join the GI Jams web site; follow the artists'
work, buy track downloads and purchase the album there at the GI Jams
Store, with profits from those sales and downloads also going to the GI
Jams military artists.
Denny Randell and Biddy Schippers, hit songwriter/producers and founders
and co-directors of GI Jams, say, "We started the project and company to
give back to those musically talented men and women in our military who
would not otherwise have the opportunity for success in music having
given themselves to protecting and defending us. We're excited to be
joining forces with Rhino on this very special project to promote the
music of these greatly talented members of our U.S. Armed Forces."
