ANNAPOLIS, MD, Jan 19 (MARKET WIRE) --
TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) (NASDAQ: TSYS), a world leader in
highly reliable and secure mobile communication technology, today
announced that the company will exhibit at AFCEA West 2012, which will be
held January 24-26, 2012 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego,
CA.
TCS invites attendees to stop by Booth 803 to learn about its
communications solutions designed to ensure mission continuity. These
include:
-- TCS Impact Tactical IP Terminal
Impact Tactical is the smallest
ruggedized communications kit to date in the TCS family of products.
It is a modularly designed IP router system whose plug-and-play design
and tool-free installation enable efficient adaptation as user
requirements change for vehicles, rack-mounts, tents, etc. Impact
Tactical's classification-agnostic approach allows physical separation
between systems.
-- SwiftCell Lite Tactical Cellular System
SwiftCell Lite is a
completely self-contained cellular network housed in a small, discrete
and ruggedized case. In a matter of minutes after powering up
SwiftCell Lite, users can communicate and share information privately
via calls or SMS text messages, utilizing commercially available
phones on their own secure cellular network.
-- Wireless Point-to-Point Links
The Wireless Point-to-Point Link
(WPPL-D) provides secure line-of-sight/non-line-of-sight RF
communications over terrestrial microwave radio links at distances
extending up to 35 miles. A cost-effective addition to a traditional
VSAT solution, the WPPL-D allows for NIPR, SIPR, VoIP, video and DSN
transmission of vital information in a point-to-point or
point-to-multipoint configuration.
-- Galatea(TM)Ultra-Rugged Solid-State Drive
Galatea can operate in
the harshest operating environments and is designed for a wide range
of applications, including air, sea and land vehicles, notebook
computers and unmanned vehicles. It features built-in power backup,
which prevents data loss during unexpected power failures, and fits up
to 200GB of user data into a standard, 9.5mm, 2.5-inch case. Galatea
provides high-performance read/write rates for the most demanding
applications and takes data security to new levels by combining
128-bit AES encryption with high-speed, full-drive erasure.
-- TCS OS-IRIS
This is the world's first commercial managed satellite
service offer using a Cisco-enabled Internet Routing In Space (IRIS).
It allows organizations to reach four continents in a single satellite
hop from a single connection to TCS' infrastructure. The converged
Cisco IRIS solution delivers optimized voice, data and video traffic
over a single IP network for increased efficiency and flexibility
compared to traditional satellite communication networks. Customers
benefit from increased bandwidth optimization and application
flexibility delivered by TCS through an end-to-end Cisco IP network.
TCS has established a proven track record for more than two decades
as a trusted provider of communication technology solutions to solve the
government's toughest technical challenges, under conditions that demand
the highest level of reliability, availability and security. To ensure
mission continuity, TCS offers deployable communications solutions and
complete end-to-end managed services for converged (IP-based) voice,
video and data solutions to organizations requiring seamless, highly
secure connectivity between fixed sites and remote operations. TCS also
