TUNIS (Reuters) - Syria's President Bashar al-Assad and his security forces have brought about a humanitarian catastrophe in the country, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Friday.

"The people who bear responsibility for this humanitarian catastrophe are Assad and his security forces," Clinton told reporters in Tunis after the inaugural meeting of the "Friends of Syria" group.

It also a good reprieve for the rebels in Homs because the Syrian army had gain a lot of ground in the alley battles and tightening the noose around rebel strongholds there.

What gall we have. What did her husband do in Waco? What did her husband to at Ruby Ridge? Was that a humanitarian disaster? Did the Syrians, or the Chinese or the Russians call for our government to step down? What about when Lincoln had the Navy shell New York City because the Irish were rioting because they did not want to be drafted into the army? It all depends on your view of facts and how you distort them.

Clinton needs to read the definition of “sovereign states”. This makes what she has done during the entire Arab spring, the encouragment through words, which everyone has heard, wrong. This makes her responsible for the deaths. She continues to do that. Now that they cant get the UN to attack Syria they are going to make up there own little group and pass a piece of paper? what is that about .. Friends of Syria? There no legal value to this group? Bunch more lip service that encourages, what we call “enablers” today, enables these thugs to go against there goverment with weapons. If any of us lugged someone to go shoot someone, that would be considered illegal and i think you would be held responsible if they could prove you egged it on. Why is this any different?
