ClearAccess Announces Plan to Incorporate SmartRG™ to Deliver Managed Residential Gateway Solutions

ClearAccess, Inc., a provider of cloud-based device management solutions, today announced a definitive agreement to be acquired by Cisco Systems.

Upon completion of the transaction, ClearAccess will incorporate its highly successful residential gateway business unit as SmartRG, Inc., and create a focused investment and growth plan for this hardware business. SmartRG, Inc. will continue to provide its current residential gateway products and continue to offer the ClearVision® management system through a formalized licensing agreement with Cisco.

SmartRG will further invest in broadening its successful DSL and Ethernet gateway product line, while building on its existing base of Hosted ClearVision customers. The company will focus on ensuring continuity for existing customers, while creating growth through additional investment in new products and services.

In addition to Mr. McInnis, currently VP of solution sales at ClearAccess, SmartRG will carry forward key sales, engineering, operations and support team members and capabilities to deliver seamless continuity to its customers.

SmartRG will maintain its headquarters in Vancouver, WA, with additional regional sales and support offices throughout North and Central America.
