Commute 90067 Announces Prizes For Century City Commuters On Earth Day
Online Commuter Resource To Encourage Los Angeles Commuters To Use Alternative Transportation
Online commuter and rideshare resource, Commute 90067, a service of the Century City Transportation Management Organization (CCTMO) announced today that it will be awarding Los Angeles commuters prizes beginning today on Earth Day weekly until Bike To Work Day on May 18, 2012. Prizes will be awarded to commuters that use the Commute 90067 website to “log” their daily commute to and from Century City.
Commute 90067, a service created by the CCTMO, provides tools and resources to Los Angeles commuters, including carpool-matching services, best routes for bicycling and public transportation, maps, and programs for developing vanpools. Website visitors that log their trips to and from Century City are awarded points based upon the form of transportation they used and are awarded more points for using alternative transportation methods such as carpooling and public transportation. At the end of each week beginning on Earth Day, April 22, 2012 and ending on Bike to Work Day, May 18, 2012, the commuters with the highest points accumulated will receive a prize from the CCTMO. Following Bike to Work Day, the commuter with the most points accumulated will win an electric bicycle.
“The purpose of Commute 90067 is to make commuting to Century City simple,” said Linda Lyles, executive director of CCTMO. “Our goal is to reduce traffic congestion into and out of Century City and we know that by delivering a resourceful service that simplifies the commuting experience, commuters will embrace alternative methods of transportation and find ways to work that both help the environment and also relieve traffic.”
