ISTANBUL (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told Western and Arab nations at a meeting in Istanbul on Wednesday that a transition strategy in Syria must include President Bashar al-Assad's full transfer of power, a senior U.S. State Department official said.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, the official said Clinton had also told the group that transition in Syria must include a fully representative interim government that would lead to free and fair elections.

France also announced at the meeting it would hold a full "Friends of Syria" meeting in Paris on July 6, the official said.

I read this and i just had to comment. How dare Hillary Clinton demand Assad to just give up power and allow all Hell to be let loose in Syria. For decades terrorists and arms manufacturers from Turkey, France and America have been financing dictators in the mid east. I am no propagandist but it is shocking to see the hypocracy of this lady whom i still admire. Instead of trying to work for peace Clinton and others are trying to undermine Kofi Annan. Since the outbreak of this tragedy the Grand powers have demonsied Assad while all the jihadi’s and pirates that they commissioned to fight the good fight go free. Why don’t these countries pay reparations to Syrians instead of encouraging them to overthrow their country. They are leading the Arabic world down to a civil war.
