NY Fed names Potter new head of markets group

June 21 (Reuters) - The Federal Reserve Bank of New York named Simon Potter, the co-head of its research and statistics group, as the new head of the important markets group.
Potter, who will also be manager of the regional Fed bank's System Open Market Account (SOMA), will replace Brian Sack, who had previously announced his departure.
