Accretive Health is the defendant in several lawsuits, including one by the Minnesota Attorney General, which allege that Accretive Health violated state and federal law by improperly posting debt collectors in hospital emergency rooms and at patient bedsides and gaining access to private and confidential medical records. On April 24, 2012, the Minnesota Attorney General released a report that highlighted these practices. The investigation focuses on the possible damages caused to Accretive Health resulting from these alleged violations of state and federal law.
