MAHWAH, NJ, Aug 30 (Marketwire) --
The Janome Sewing Machine Company has given quilters a great way to
escape into the world of pure creativity. The new Horizon Memory Craft
8900 QCP combines the wide-open sewing space and speed of the
top-of-the-line Horizon Memory Craft 12000 with the quilting features of
the popular Horizon Memory Craft 7700 QCP. The MC8900 features 11" of
work space to the right of the needle, sewing speeds of up to 1,000
stitches per minute, 9 mm stitch width, and the innovative AcuFeed
Flex(TM) fabric feeding system.

The Horizon Memory Craft 8900 QCP comes with 270 built-in stitches,
hundreds up to 9 mm wide. These include more of the popular Play
stitches, 11 buttonholes, 3 alphabets, and 6 Direct Select stitches.
Navigation through all the choices is sped along through a combination of
jog-dial and button selection.

Janome's AcuFeed(TM) system has been a favorite among quilters. Now it's
detachable. The AcuFeed Flex(TM) Layered Fabric Feeding System on the
Horizon Memory Craft 8900 QCP uses the Dual Prong Foot to keep even the
thickest stack of quilt layers moving through in perfect sync.

The needle plate can be switched from Standard to Straight Stitch in
seconds -- no screwdriver necessary. Just press a button to pop out the
existing plate and snap in the new one.

Quilters will also love the patented needle placement accuracy. Special
plate markings indicate needle drop position, provide angle marks, and
act as front-of-the-foot guides.

The MC8900 also comes with a remote thread cutter port, so the machine
can be used on a quilt frame or with the optional remote thread cutting

Other highlights include a larger foot control pedal, a four-point LED
lighting system, an adjustable knee lifter, Needle Up/Down with Down as
the default setting, an optional magnifier attachment that is available
in 3 different magnifications, and many other essential quilting
features. Included with the machine are 15 presser feet, a large
extension table, Cloth Guide, and semi-hard case.

The Horizon Memory Craft 8900 QCP will arrive at participating Janome
dealerships in the USA on October 1, 2012.

Janome America is one of the largest sales subsidiaries of the Janome
Sewing Machine Company of Japan. Janome is a category leader in
innovation and Janome sewing machines are recognized throughout the
