Aeon closes most stores in China after anti-Japan protests

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japanese supermarket operator Aeon Co said on Tuesday that it had closed 30 of its 35 stores in China following an escalation in anti-Japan demonstrations.

Hundreds of Japanese businesses and the country's embassy suspended services in China on Tuesday, expecting further escalation in violent protests over a territorial dispute between Asia's two biggest economies.
