Transmode wins Sweden's Gold Mobile 2012 Award as 'Company of the Year'
Stockholm, Sweden - 4 December 2012 - Transmode, a global supplier of packet-optical networking solutions, today announced that the company has received the prestigious Gold Mobile Award as Company of the Year at Sweden's 2012 Mobile Gala. The Gala, arranged by magazines Mobil and Mobil: Business was held at the Berns Hotel in Stockholm.
The Swedish Mobile Awards are presented as part of the annual Mobile Future conference, which started in 2000. Mobile Future is the leading business conference in the mobile space in the Nordics attracting inspirational industry speakers and experts, who talk about major industry trends and discuss how to monetize mobile services.
The highly respected independent jury selected the winners of Mobile Awards. Transmode won the "Company of the Year" Mobile 2012 Award with the following citation: "Transmode is a player in a good position and worthy of all the attention. The second-largest telecom equipment vendor after Ericsson. Demonstrable success, but despite this, still has huge potential ahead."
"Obviously, we're delighted to have received one of the very top awards in the mobile sector. What's especially pleasing is that Transmode has received a Gold Mobile Award even though we're a company that focuses on optical networks", commented Ola Elmeland, Transmode's Vice President Marketing and Communications.
"This reflects the challenges the mobile sector is facing when bottlenecks to base stations need to be eliminated. It is also a corroboration of the positive market response to our company's focus on solutions, and especially for mobile networks. We'll certainly be celebrating this success which inspires us to further develop our solutions that will make mobile networks even more effective."
