Constellation Brands Makes Wine Shopping More Rewarding with Innovative Mobile App for the Holidays
~Industry-leading wine producer partners with shopkick Inc. to be first in the wine, beer and spirits industry to reward shoppers through their mobile app~
VICTOR, N.Y., Dec. 18, 2012 - Constellation Brands, Inc. (CBI), (NYSE: STZ and STZ.B), the world's leading premium wine company whose brands include Robert Mondavi Private Selection, Clos du Bois, Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi, Kim Crawford and Ruffino as well as SVEDKA Vodka has launched a new mobile marketing program featuring popular wine brands within the shopkick mobile app during the industry's busiest season for wine and spirits sales.
The free shopkick mobile app, with more than 4 million iPhone and Android users, is designed to reward shoppers for simply visiting traditional brick and mortar retailers and engaging with products while there. Wine shoppers earn redeemable points - or "kicks" - in several ways:
By walking into a partner retail location
By scanning the bar code on a bottle of one of our participating wines while they are in the aisle
By viewing our "lookbook" of food and wine pairings on the shopkick app "Kicks" can be redeemed for in-store gift cards, song downloads, movie tickets, hotel vouchers, Facebook Credits to play games online, donations to charity and more.
The following brands from Constellation Brands portfolio of over 100 wines, beer and spirits will be featured on the shopkick app through the holidays:

The World Economic Forum named shopkick as one of the world's most innovative technology startups of 2013 for its potential to transform the future of business and society. Constellation Brands is the first wine, beer and spirits company to be featured on the mobile application. "Constellation Brands continually looks for innovative ways to engage with our consumers and we are proud to lead the industry in exploring new technologies to accomplish this," said Karena Breslin, director of Digital Marketing.
Through shopkick, Constellation Brands will reach consumers currently utilizing their smartphones while at the store or preparing for a shopping trip at home. By engaging them in real-time with tangible rewards, Constellation Brands can encourage in-store behaviors leading to increased purchases - in fact, 79% of consumers use their smartphones to help make shopping decisions (Google Mobile Ads Survey, 2011).
"Constellation Brands is a great addition to shopkick's partner network of brands and retailers leveraging mobile to create the most powerful shopping alliance in the U.S," said Alexis Rask, vice president and general manager, Brand Partnerships at shopkick. "Constellation understands that mobile affects the offline shopping experience and measurably impacts behavior, increases brand awareness and drives consumer loyalty. Because our shopkick shopper loves to treat herself, what better way than with delicious beverages?"
