CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher, buoyed by Agrium, China growth
TORONTO, Jan 24 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Thursday, led by Agrium Inc after the fertilizer maker raised its fourth-quarter earnings forecast, and helped by data showing Chinese manufacturing growth hit a two-year high this month. The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was up 24 points, or 0.19 percent, at 12,818.05 shortly after the open.
