CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher as overseas data helps energy shrs

TORONTO, Feb 8 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
higher on Friday, led by financial and energy shares, as
positive economic data from China, Europe and the United States
offset the impact of weak domestic numbers. 
    The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
 was up 34.47 points, or 0.27 percent, at 12,790.39
shortly after the open.
