GEORGE TOWN, Grand Cayman, Feb. 13, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- O2Micro® International Limited
(Nasdaq:OIIM), a global leader in the design, development and marketing of high-performance
integrated circuits and solutions, today announced that it was issued 20 claims under United
States patent number 8,305,013 for its Circuits and Methods for LED Free Dimming control; a
continuation of the invention issued February 2012 under United States patent number 8,111,017.

Free Dimming is O2Micro's dimming technology built into a LED light source. It allows the end-user

"This patented technology enables dimming control in LED lighting using an ON/OFF wall switch. The

incandescent dimmers," said Dr. Yung Lin, executive vice president at O2Micro.
