Pitchblack Appoints Daniel Nocente as Chairman

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 14, 2013) - Pitchblack Resources Ltd.
(TSX VENTURE:PIT) ("Pitchblack" or the "Company") welcomes Mr. Daniel Nocente
as its new Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Nocente replaces Fred Leigh
who had been in the role since July 2012 and has resigned as a director of the
Company to focus on other business endeavours. The Board of Directors
expresses its gratitude to Fred Leigh for his contribution to the Company and
wishes him success in his future endeavours.

Mr. Nocente was most recently the Vice-Chairman of National Bank Financial
(Corporate and Investment Banking) based in Vancouver, having taken that
position from his previous role as co-head of the mining group at National
Bank., Prior to joining National Bank, he was Vice- Chairman and the BC
Geographic Head for RBC Capital Markets. In addition, he has held positions at
several other prominent investment banks in Canada. Daniel has worked at
various times in Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and New York. He has a BA from
the University of British Columbia and an MBA from George Washington
University in Washington, DC.

The Company also announces that Bill Nielsen, P.Geo., will be working with
Pitchblack as an exploration consultant upon completion of the acquisition of
precious metal enriched base metal assets (see press release dated December
17, 2012). Mr. Nielsen is an accredited geologist with over 35 years of
worldwide mineral exploration and development experience. Most recently, he
has been working as a senior industry consultant to mining exploration
companies working with a variety of commodities in various countries and
geological environments. From 2003 to 2008, Mr. Nielsen was the V.P.
Exploration of Nevsun Resources Ltd., where he played a significant role in
the discovery of the Bisha gold-VMS deposit in Eritrea. Mr. Don Dudek has
resigned as a Vice President of the Company. The Company thanks him for his
