GKN Sinter Metals Plant Delivers 50 Million Synchronizer Hubs

REDDITCH, UNITED KINGDOM, Feb 18 (Marketwire) --
GKN Sinter Metals' state-of-the-art production facility in Bad
Brueckenau, Germany, has delivered its fifty-millionth synchronizer hub.

Synchronizer hubs are the core product for the shifting mechanism in all
double clutch and manual transmissions. For over 20 years GKN Sinter
Metals has specialised in precision synchronizer hubs made by
conventional powder metallurgy technology, which has proven to be the
premier solution for this transmission component and has facilitated
improvements in performance while also reducing weight.

GKN utilizes specialized high volume production processes with
streamlined manufacturing concepts and optimized workflows to produce
each synchronizer hub. Combining this process with a highly skilled
workforce has allowed GKN to provide flawless products to a number of
global automotive OEM and Tier1 customers for the past 20 years. "Our
