Obama called top Republicans to discuss looming cuts-White House

WASHINGTON Thu Feb 21, 2013 1:58pm EST

WASHINGTON Feb 21 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama on Thursday called Republican congressional leaders, House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, to discuss looming spending cuts, the White House said.

White House spokesman Jay Carney said the conversations were "good" but declined to provide any details.

An estimated $85 billion in across-the-board "sequestration" cuts are due to go into effect March 1 unless Congress acts. Obama and others have warned that the cuts could hurt economic growth and lead to hundreds of thousands of job losses.

Lies, Lies, Lies. With this sequestration cut the 2013 amount of money they are still planning on spending is more than they spent in 2012. All these dudes must have grown up in the carnival business so that they practice lieing to people before they got into politics. The cuts they are proposing are not far enough.

At the end of the year, Republicans in the House gave Obama the increase in taxes he wanted with the promise of spending cuts by March 1st. Now Obama wants more taxes, and more spending, instead of cuts. He claims he has already cut 1.6 trillion, depending on the day he speaks but, none of the cuts have occurred, being cuts in another President’s term, and the cuts are non-specifc, such as not fighting a war, (even if we’re attacked?). If House Republicans want to win the argument, all they have to do is let the sequester happen, and then pass legislation to replace spending cuts with cuts in other areas. After weeks of saying how bad sequestration is, Senate Democrats would have little ability to ignore it, nor Obama to veto it.

How about cutting the drone program to start with, them planned parenthood which is nothing more than a satanic organization set up to spit in the face of God. Your criminals cannot hide in your mountain cities or your underground shelters when Christ returns, there is no escaping the wrath of God for the evil you have helped unleash on his children.
