New curriculum helps high school students develop leadership and business skills
to solve the world's most pressing global issues
NEW YORK, March 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Summerfuel, the leader in authentic
summer enrichment programs for high school students, announced today the launch
of its new Social Entrepreneurship programs. These programs are built to help
high school students to explore entrepreneurship and its power to create change
locally and globally. The new curriculum is designed to develop the skills that
students need to build effective and efficient social ventures and introduce
young entrepreneurs to business concepts that they can utilize immediately in
their communities and continue to develop throughout their lives.
Hosted on the campuses of Yale and Stanford Universities, these programs
incorporate case studies, hands-on experience, business skills workshops and
guest speakers to empower young social entrepreneurs to find creative solutions
to key social issues in their communities and around the globe.
Running from June 30 - July 20, 2013, these three-week, all-inclusive
programs provide students with enriching academic and extracurricular
experiences, including:
* Small classes and dynamic workshops led by top notch accredited faculty
and business leaders.
* Weekend excursions and engaging activities: A full schedule of afternoon and
evening activities and weekend excursions are included in the program fees.
* Residing on campus at Yale or Stanford.
* Mentorship by Resident Advisors who oversee on-campus accommodations and
events and share their knowledge of the collegiate experience.
* Meeting friends and fellow entrepreneurs from around the world.
While not directly affiliated with Yale or Stanford, Summerfuel Summer
