Mexico's IPC stock index falls 1 pct as Femsa, Grupo Mexico drop

MEXICO CITY, March 19 (Reuters) - Mexico's benchmark IPC stock index fell slightly more than 1 percent on Tuesday, dragged down by a drop in the shares of retailer and beverage company Femsa and mining conglomerate Grupo Mexico .

The index was down 1.10 percent at 9:45 a.m. local time (1545 GMT) at 42,136.62 points.
