Euro cuts losses vs dollar as markets eye Cyprus

NEW YORK, March 21 (Reuters) - The euro trimmed its losses against the dollar in early afternoon trade as investors closely watched development in the Cyprus crisis.

The euro was last at $1.2912, down 0.2 percent on the day, compared with $1.2895 earlier.

The move coincided with headlines that Cypriot central bank government announced "resolution process" for the country's banking system.
