northwestern British Columbia, Canada. The project spans across an area of
293,840 acres within Tahltan Nation territory. 

It has large, good-grade porphyry-related copper- gold- silver deposit. It is
maintaining and protecting existing infrastructure under the reviewed
optimization scenarios. Upper Kobuk Mineral Project, formerly, the Ambler
project is developing large and remote copper/zinc/gold/silver deposits in the
northwestern Arctic. NovaGold holds 100% of the Arctic deposit in the Ambler
district. 

The company gained access to this deposit under an agreement with NANA Regional
Corporation (NANA) to develop properties in the Ambler district. The company
acquired full interest in the Copper Canyon project after acquiring Copper
Canyon Resources Ltd. (Copper Canyon), in May 2011.
