Centrica Energy Awards Alstom the Long Term Maintenance of South Humber Bank Power Plant

A contract worth €120 million in the UK

Regulatory News: 

Centrica Energy has awarded Alstom (Paris:ALO) a €120 million contract1 for gas
turbine maintenance services at its South Humber Bank power station in the north
of the UK. The agreement covers the five Alstom GT13E2 gas turbines installed at
the 1260 MW combined-cycle power plant over the next seven years. 

In addition to the delivery of parts and equipment for the performance of all
planned inspections on the five gas turbines, Alstom will supply all necessary
craft labour as well as on-site technical field advisors. The contract also
includes delivery of two additional upgrade packages based on the successful
validation of the first upgrade installed in February 2012 on a single turbine
at the same power station. 

Tony Lyon, Plant Manager for South Humber Bank from Centrica Energy commented,
"The first installation has successfully demonstrated that this upgrade delivers
substantial benefits.With the new order, the benefits cumulated across our other
machines will increase our combined-cycle plant output. The plant efficiency
gain will allow us to reduce our fuel costs and CO2 emissions."

power generation assets by increasing plant performance and reducing operation
costs."
