The latest version of SAP Sybase Replication Server is planned to replicate data
in real time from multiple sources into multiple instances of SAP HANA - without
disrupting or slowing the production applications at the source - while
transactional consistency is preserved. It also aims to provide real-time
log-based changed data capture (CDC) for SAP Data Services software, allowing
customers to gain business insights in real time.

"Meeting the demands of the real-time enterprise requires a sophisticated data
management strategy," said Shawn Rogers, vice president of Research at
Enterprise Management Associates. "SAP Sybase Replication Server plays a
critical role in the challenge to execute real-time workloads across diverse
data landscapes. SAP has highly integrated the solution into its real-time data
platform orchestrating data for optimal real-time effectiveness."

With data transaction volumes rapidly expanding and data availability
requirements continuing to grow, enterprises need real-time data to make
business decisions utilizing new sources and destinations for information that
include in-memory databases, data warehouses, cloud services and more. SAP
Sybase Replication Server aims to empower transactional replication, helping
ensure that only consistent, accurate and reliable data is distributed to and
synchronized between multiple locations. SAP Sybase Replication Server is a
must-have mission-critical systems solution that is intended to supply business
continuity, data migration and loading BI for organizations using the powerful
SAP HANA database.

"SAP Sybase Replication Server is a critical component in delivering on our
vision for a comprehensive real-time data platform," said Irfan Khan, chief
technology officer and senior vice president, Database & Technology, SAP AG.
"With SAP Sybase Replication Server, we plan to provide the capabilities to
facilitate real-time data movement into SAP HANA as well as third-party
databases to help ensure high availability and disaster recovery for SAP
Business Suite on SAP Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise. These features are
intended to allow businesses to leverage existing applications across multiple
locations and geographies and make decisions based on today's information while
feeling secure in the stability and reliability of their distributed enterprise
environment."
