High Plains Gas, Inc. Announces New Board Members, President/CEO, Approval of Merger with Chama Technologaes, Inc. and Stock Restructure

High Plains Gas, Inc. (“High Plains”) (symbol HPGS) announces the addition of Ed Presley, Bill Edwards and Bill Helfer to its Board of Directors (the “Board”) and the resignations of directors Joe Hettinger, Siva Mohan, Cordell Fonnesbeck and Al Smith. The Board is also pleased to announce the appointment of Ed Presley as President and CEO. Mr. Presley replaces Brandon Hargett.

The Board has approved a 1,000 to 1 reverse split of High Plain’s common stock to take effect within 30 days as determined by the Board and the approval of a plan of merger with Chama Technologaes, Inc. (“Chama”), the terms and conditions of which to be announced upon finalization of the merger agreement. The previous Letter of Intent with Chama that was announced in October 2012 has expired.
