Jive and Box Now Available Together in the Cloud
PALO ALTO, Calif., April 23, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Jive Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:JIVE), and Box today announced that Jive's leading social business platform and Box's best-in-class content sharing platform are now fully integrated and available in the cloud. This powerful combination of business tools gives anyone the ability to use Box and Jive together seamlessly to increase productivity, collaborate more broadly and get work done in better ways.
As an integrated solution, Jive and Box allow people to work within both platforms simultaneously. People working within Jive for social business collaboration can easily access any content stored in Box, as well as quickly upload and synch comments. Similarly, those working within the Box experience can view and access any information from the Jive platform. The entire integration happens within the cloud, seamlessly and in real time.
"Box and Jive represent the new way people are working. Employees and employers want and expect best-of-breed tools that allow them to instantly collaborate in any system and multiple systems at the same time – versus being locked and slowed down by working in one closed business app at a time," said Tony Zingale, chairman and CEO of Jive. "Together, Jive and Box are offering the new way to work, leaving silos and older systems behind to empower creativity, productivity and real business value."
"Content sits at the center of every business," said Aaron Levie, co-founder and CEO of Box. "When information is instantly accessible across all of your devices and connected to today's best-of-breed applications, work is inherently more social, collaborative and productive. Box and Jive remove the barriers to business collaboration and represent the next generation of enterprise software innovation."
The new tightly integrated Jive and Box experience allows customers to:
- Collaborate on Box documents directly within Jive, with comments synced across both platforms
- Upload content to Box directly from Jive
- Access content from mobile phones and tablets
- Collaborate on documents directly within Microsoft Outlook and Office
