BRASILIA, April 25 (Reuters) - Brazilian state development bank BNDES President Luciano Coutinho said on Thursday that it did not make sense to increase the country's long-term lending rate, known as TJLP, because inflation is expected to recede.

He said on a teleconference with foreign reporters that the government was committed to keeping inflation under control.
