Mr. Buffett advised Gen Y to “find your passion” in his live chat on Levo League. “Never give up searching for the job that you’re passionate about. Try to find the job you’d have if you were independently rich. Forget about the pay. When you’re associating with the people that you love, doing what you love, it doesn’t get any better than that.” He continued to reinforce his stance as an advocate for women’s advancement. “Women have every potential that men do. No one should hold themselves back. The future is terrific.”

This discussion marked not only Mr. Buffett’s dedication to helping women, but also dedication to Gen Y as a whole. Mr. Buffett is making strides to speak to Gen Y through his just-released social media presence on Twitter, and on Levo League with his mentorship profile. Levo League users can ask Mr. Buffett a question on his mentor profile through an Ask A Question functionality. A selection of the first questions submitted were answered during the live Q&A discussion, and Mr. Buffett will continue to answer questions through his profile on a weekly basis.

"Warren Buffett believes in Gen Y women, and we are honored that he is using Levo League’s mentorship platform as an outlet for democratizing mentorship and providing women with the support needed to elevate their careers,” says Caroline Ghosn, CEO and Co-founder of Levo League.

In addition to Warren Buffett, Levo League’s mentorship platform launched with Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook, and over 30 featured mentors including Fran Hauser, President of the Digital Style & Entertainment Group at Time, Inc.; Sallie Krawcheck, Former President of Global Wealth & Investment Management at Bank of America; Bozoma Saint John, Director of Music & Entertainment Marketing at PepsiCo; and Lauren Anderson, Former Assistant Special Agent in Charge at the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

"Mentorship is a fundamental part of the success equation for advancing the leadership of Gen Y women. Through exchanging advice and sharing common interests, women can get the feedback they need to increase their self-awareness and elevate their careers," says Tiffany Dufu, Chief Leadership Officer at Levo League.

Levo League’s mentorship platform offers a Quora-style Q&A between Levo users and featured mentors, and facilitates connections based on compatibility. Users can search for specific advice by category, and curate their activity feeds by following featured mentors and other Levo members.
