Prominent Indiana Businessman Offers 4,650-Acre Hoosier Jack Mega Site for Development

Southern Vigo County, IN, Site Offers Dual Rail Access and Available Landfill Gas

The Terre Haute Economic Development Corporation (THEDC) has announced the availability for development of Hoosier Jack Mega Site, a 4,650-acre property in southern Vigo County, Indiana, offered by Terre Haute businessman Greg Gibson. The one-owner site is located 75 miles southwest of Indianapolis near the Indiana/Illinois border and is only four miles from the Vigo County Industrial Park.

Hoosier Jack Mega Site offers the following amenities:

• Highway access: Indiana State Roads 159 and 246 via I-70 and U.S. 41 respectively

• Rail: Served by both CSX Transportation and the Indiana Rail Road

• Water: Serviced by Sullivan-Vigo Rural Water Corp.

• Electric: Split site serviced by WIN Energy and Duke Energy

• Gas: Serviced by Ohio Valley Gas Corporation

• Landfill Gas: Available from the adjacent Republic Services’ Sycamore Ridge Landfill

• Voice/Data Communication: Frontier Communications T-1 fiber line

“With existing dual rail service via CSX Transportation and the Indiana Rail Road, coupled with other robust infrastructure onsite or within very close proximity (including the availability of nearby landfill gas), we believe the 4,650-acre Hoosier Jack Mega Site has the potential to bring significant economic benefit to west central Indiana,” said Steve Witt, president of the Terre Haute Economic Development Corporation.

Gibson is president of Hoosier Jack Land Company, LLC, the site’s owner, as well as nearly 70 waste services and land development companies across several states. Like Hoosier Jack, several of Gibson’s companies are named after his young son, Jack. These include Arizona Jack Property Development, Mountain Jack Environmental Systems in Idaho and Wyoming, Texas Jack Waste Holdings and Indiana Jack, LLC, a waste consulting company. Other Gibson companies include Dennis Trucking Company, Inc., Jamax Corporation and ReTec Corporation. Gibson is also a principal owner of the Chinook Mega Site in Clay and Vigo counties in Indiana.
