WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Senators reached a tentative deal with tech companies to ease restrictions on hiring foreigners for high-skilled jobs in the Senate's sweeping immigration bill, sources familiar with the talks said on Tuesday.

For about a week, senators on the panel have been in negotiations with each other and with the AFL-CIO union and tech company officials over limits imposed for hiring high-tech workers from abroad.

The deal between Democratic Senator Charles Schumer and Republican Senator Orrin Hatch would make it easier for tech companies and other businesses to hire workers from abroad.

The provisions still need to be approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee and the entire bill needs to win support in the Senate and House of Representatives before it can become law.

America is quickly being destroyed by immigration. H1B is destroying the American engineering profession.

The amount of money possessed by the wealthy is beyond imagination. That money allows them to control the Senate quite handily.

There are hundreds of lobbying firms in Washington staffed by former Senators and Congressmen. Today, approximately 60% of Senators and Congressman leaving office go to work at these lobbying firms for very high salaries, as well as huge deal opportunities.

Immigration into any country has two clear effects:

1. Immigration increases the supply of labor, thus forcing down wage rates for the citizens.

2. Immigration strains the existing housing supply causing rents and housing costs to go up for the local citizens.

Both these effects make the wealthy employing class even wealthier.

Thus you have both Republicans and Democrats being bribed by the wealthy to continue immigration.

The American middle class is being destroyed by immigration.

Why does America even have a military? Invading foreigners by the thousands simply fly into our airports and get into waiting taxis. If betraying the American middle class to foreigners is not treason, then what exactly is treason?

Adam Smith, your numbers are don’t make sense. Only about 12.1% of the US population is foreign born and only 25% of that 12.1% are undocumented. As far as overall percentage of foreign born population worldwide, the US ranks 40th.

Many countries have a much higher percentage of their population. By this measure, the United States trails not only such countries as Australia, Austria, Canada, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Israel, but also Sweden, Germany, and Belgium.

So the sky is not falling. Please stop using Faux news as your information source, its bogus and slanted.

American engineers, scientists, computer programmers and tech-workers have no greater enemy than Senator Charles “Chuck” Schumer.

Senator Schumer has sold his soul to big money and has stabbed the American working class in the back, over and over.

There are plenty of senators that have been corrupted, but none of them have been so activist at destroying the American middle class, the people in America who work for a living.

Schumer, of New York, does not represent the people of New York, but rather is completely controlled by the wealthy class who own the financial industry.

No other American politician has done so much to destroy American jobs, and this H1B visa program is just his latest sellout. In ancient Rome or Greece he would be arrested for high treason. But today he is feted at the table of his wealthy sponsors, observing with glee the carnage they have reaked upon the middle class workers, all in the quest of even higher profits.

This is Senator Charles “Chuck” Schumer.
