First Quantum profit falls as prices drop
July 31 (Reuters) - Canadian base metal miner First Quantum Minerals Ltd reported a drop in earnings on Wednesday as realized copper and nickel prices fell.
Net earnings attributable to shareholders fell to $71.9 million, or 12 cents a share, from $142.0 million, or 30 cents, a year earlier. Sales revenues rose to $869.3 million from $722.3 million.
