UK watchdog drops probe into PwC auditing of Barlays Capital
LONDON Dec 6 (Reuters) - Britain's accounting watchdog, the Financial Reporting Council, said on Friday it has closed its investigation into PwC's preparation of compliance reports on Barclays Capital Securities.
The probe was in respect of Barclays Capital Securities' compliance with the then regulator, the Financial Services Authority's rules on protecting client money from Dec. 1 2001 to Dec. 29, 2009.
