WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama said on Friday more than half a million Americans enrolled in health insurance plans under Obamacare using the HealthCare.gov website during the first three weeks of December.

That brings the total enrollments through state and federal marketplaces to more than 1 million people to date, based on rough estimates of updated state and federal data, senior administration officials said.

Just dong some quick math here… if December more than doubled November’s total, and November more than doubled October’s total, we looking at about:

1+ million enrollees in January
~2.5 enrollees in February
~5 million enrollees in March

For a total of around 10 million enrolled by the April deadline, well exceeding the target of 7 million. Not bad Obamacare, not bad.

I tried to find a reputable news site to see the numbers finding none and given his history I wouldn’t trust the mouth of President Obama.

Obama fell victim to the fiction that Computers are the panacea that fix everything. We have seen booth Bill Gates and Steve Jobs on stage when new software of their companies crashed totally. New software has always been a potential knife edge. Every day we hear about some giant company Facebook, Amazon, Yahoo, Google having failures of their systems.
