HONOLULU (Reuters) - President Barack Obama completed a "symbolic" signup for a health insurance plan under the Affordable Care Act over the weekend in advance of Monday's deadline, the White House said.

Obama chose a "bronze" plan in the Washington, D.C., exchange. But like previous U.S. presidents he will continue to receive health care from the military.

Earlier on Monday the Obama administration said it has extended for an extra day the deadline for Americans to choose health insurance plans on the HealthCare.gov website to ensure coverage starting in January.

Great,
This will allow Obama a first hand experience to find out what a failure the AHC act is what a failure he is. Maybe he will finally do the right ting and resign. I can only hope!

Symbolic signup is for publicity only. Does not mean he now has his coverage through the ACA. In other words, it is BS.

What nonsense. Let’s see him sign up for real, not “symbolically”. Get back to me when Obama and his family actually live with one of their Obamacare junk insurance plans…when they have their choice of doctors and hospitals restricted and when they have their premiums and deductibles skyrocket as they are forced to pay for coverage for which they have no need.

And definitely get back to me when an aging Obama finds his care isn’t covered because his Independent Payment Advisory Board–Obamacare’s Medicare rationing board–denies him treatment.
