CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as China data weighs

TORONTO, Jan 3 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
lower on Friday, led by declines in financial and energy shares,
as weak economic data from China weighed on sentiment.
    The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
 was down 34.88 points, or 0.26 percent, at 13,559.31
shortly after the open.
